Sex, for men, is really all about not coming. Most of my energy during sex is allocated to this task.

The most shameful is when I try to postpone it by going slower and slower until I stop, trying to make out like I’m just being sensual or some shit, then when I’m cervix deep and stationary I still completely come. So then I’m still, have been for a while now, and have to reveal, “um…I came.” But not before trying to get another five or ten seconds out of my erection before it goes soft, so she thinks I’m that much less of a failure.

Why don’t you try these books and also just be honest with your partner about what you’re experiencing?

this post was primarily intended as comedy.

this kind of thing probably happens about 1/3 of the time, and is the same with most men (especially when you’re going raw, it’s way more sensitive; also when it might have been a few days or a week since your last intercourse), even though most won’t admit it. that’s why it is my comedy fodder. comedy often functions as a catharsis, and that’s what i’m aiming for here.

there are no apparent honesty or communication problems between me and my partner and our sex is generally a mutually positive experience. what i discuss in this post happens often enough though that most men can relate. (i’ve talked with many men about this, although they only admit it because i make a point of being open about everything so people feel less self-conscious.)

Ian Kerner’s books “She Comes First” and “He Comes Next” are also excellent. Most women need oral sex in order to climax anyway.
